B.A., LL.B (Honours) Course

Application are invited from the eligible candidates for admission to I Semester of Five Years B.A., LL.B. (Honor’s) Degree Course in the University Law College, Bangalore University, Jnana Bharathi Campus, Bengaluru-560056 for the academic year 2024-25. Last date for submission of application is 20-05-2024. The candidates who have passed II P.U.C./ (10+2) or equivalent with not less than 45% (in the case of SC/ST 40%, OBC-42% (having annual income less than Rs. 8 lakhs except Cat-I) (Karnataka students only) of the total marks are eligible to apply. Maximum age for admission to General candidates is 20 years and in case of SC/ST/OBC and Foreign Nationals, it is 22 years, as on last date for submission of application.

Application shall be filled-up in online mode only by visiting the University official website. https://bangaloreuniversity.karnataka.gov.in or www.ulcbangalore.com Application submitted online should be downloaded and submitted in person or by post along with self attested copies of marks cards & relevant Certificates to the Principal, University Law College, Bangalore University, Jnana Bharathi Campus, Bengaluru – 560 056 on or before 23.05.2024 The application fee of Rs.850/- (GM & Others) and Rs.425/- (for SC/ST/Cat-I) shall be paid online only along with online application processing charge of Rs. 75/- plus applicable taxes. ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಕಾನೂನು ಕಾಲೇಜು, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ, ಜ್ಞಾನಭಾರತಿ ಆವರಣ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು- 560056 2024-25ರ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಾಲಿನ ಐದು ವರ್ಷದ ಬಿ.ಎ., ಎಲ್‌.ಎಲ್.ಬಿ. (ಹಾನರ್ಸ್ ಕೋರ್ಸ್) ಪದವಿ ಮೊದಲ ಸೆಮಿಸ್ಟರ್ ಕೋರ್ಸ್‌ ಪ್ರವೇಶಾತಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲು ಕೊನೆಯ ದಿನಾಂಕ: 20.05.2024 ಆಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳು ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಪಿ.ಯು.ಸಿ/10+2 ತರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ಶೇ.45 (ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಜಾತಿ/ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಪಂಗಡಗಳಿಗೆ ಶೇ. 40 ರಷ್ಟು ಹಾಗೂ ಇನ್ನಿತರ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಕನಿಷ್ಟ ಶೇ.42 ರಷ್ಟು (ಇವರ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಆದಾಯವು ರೂ. 8 ಲಕ್ಷಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೇಲೆ ಮೀರಿರಬಾರದು, Cat-1 ಹೊರೆತುಪಡಿಸಿ) (ಈ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ). ಅಂಕಗಳನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸಿರುವವರು ಮಾತ್ರ ಅರ್ಹರಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS FOR 5 YEARS B.A. LL.B. HONORS COURSE:

i) An applicant seeking admission to the B.A., LL.B Honors Course shall have successfully completed Pre-University Course or Senior Secondary School Course (‘+ 2”) or equivalent (such as 11+1, ‘A’ level in Senior School Leaving Certificate Course) from a recognized University in India or outside, or from a Senior Secondary Board or equivalent, constituted or recognized by the Union or by a State Government securing in the aggregate, marks not less than 45% (in the case of SC/ST 40% & OBC-42% whose annual Income is not more than 8 lakhs except cat-1, and who are Karnataka Students) of the total marks.

ii) Provided that applicants who have obtained + 2 Higher secondary pass Certificate after prosecuting studies in distance or correspondence method shall also be considered as eligible for admission in the Integrated Five years course.

Note:
1) Candidates obtaining 10+2 directly without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for admission in the B.A., LL.B Honors Course.
2) A candidate having passed Job Oriented Course and Diploma Course are not eligible to seek admission in B.A., LL.B. Honours Course.

ii) Maximum age for seeking admission to the B.A., LL.B. Honors Course is 20 years of age (relaxation of two years in case of SC, ST, Other Backward Communities & Foreign Nationals) as on the last date for submission of application of the year of admission. In the case of Foreign Nationals, the candidate must have studied English Language as one of the compulsory subjects in 10+2 or equivalent Higher Secondary School Examination by obtaining grade or marks equivalent to 45% in aggregate as determined by the Equivalence Committee The Admission Committee may conduct an English Language competence test if it is required. Only on the basis of requisite English language standard, the candidate will be provisionally admitted. The candidates interested to apply for regular and self finance category seats shall have to mention the same in the application in the appropriate column.

1. ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳು ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಪಿ.ಯು.ಸಿ.ಯನ್ನು (10+2) ಮೂಲ ಅರ್ಹತಾ ತರಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಓದದೆ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೆ ಬಿ.ಎ., ಎಲ್‌ಎಲ್.ಬಿ (ಹಾನರ್ಸ್) ಕೋರ್ಸ್‌ಗೆ ಅರ್ಹರಾಗಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

2. ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಜಾಬ್ ಓರಿಯಂಟೆಡ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಡಿಪ್ಲೊಮೊ ಕೋರ್ಸ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರೆ ಬಿ.ಎ., ಎಲ್‌ಎಲ್.ಬಿ (ಹಾನರ್ಸ್‌) ಕೋರ್ಸ್‌ಗೆ ಅರ್ಹರಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

LL.M (2 years) Post Graduate Degree Course w.e.f. the academic year 2019-20.

The Master degree in Law was started in the year 1960-61 as an M.L. Degree course. After becoming part of the Bangalore University in 1976, the Department of Studies in Law has been offering an LL.M programme in 5 different branches with an intake of 10 students under the general admission policy laid down by the Government and 2 students per branch underpayment seat category with enhanced fees. The LL.M programme in all the five branches of specialization has been a story of great success.

LL.M. is offered in the following areas of specialization:

1. CONSTITUTION AND LEGAL ORDER.
2. CORPORATE AND COMMERCIAL LAW.
3. LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT LAW.
4. HUMAN RIGHTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL LAW.(under suspension)
5. CRIMINAL LAW.

Eligibility criteria:

Candidates seeking admission to LL.M. Degree under semester scheme should have passed the LL.B. degree from any University recognised by the Bar Council having secured not less than 45% in the aggregate (5% relaxation for SC/ST, Category I and differently-abled candidates in the aggregate of 3 years/5 years LL.B. Degree Examinations conducted by Bangalore University or any other University recognized by U.G.C leading to the award of LL.B Degree. The mode of selection of candidates is through Common Entrance Test conducted by the college.

Nature of the Course: C.B.C.S. (Choice Based Credit Scheme)

Duration: 2 years (4 Semesters)
